Red Bull extends its contract with Rexam

Rexam has secured a “long-term extension” of its contract to supply Red Bull with slimline 25cl aluminium cans. Rexam has produced more than 10 billion cans for Red Bull since 1987, in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Coke’s aluminium bottles appear in UK

Coca-Cola’s Lovebeing product was launched at selected nightclubs in the UK in January. The product consists of ordinary Coca-Cola packaged in 25cl aluminium bottles, and is designed to be mixed with alcohol. The bottles are produced by Boxal, a division of US-based Exal Corporation, at its plant in Beaurepaire, near Lyon in France.

Wide end gives access to meat pate

A can with a wide end has been developed to package meat spreads, to allow easier access to the product inside.
