The Canmaker Summit heads for Venice

Delegates to The Canmaker Summit in October will have a great opportunity to meet, listen and talk to some of the most dynamic people in the metal packaging and filling industries.

The recently announced line-up of speakers includes David Wall, chief executive of Ardagh’s Metal Division (UK); Marco Checchi, chief executive of Pelliconi (Italy), Dave May, president of Roeslein & Associates (USA); Charles Turner, technical director and global director of product stewardship for PPG’s EMEA region (Switzerland); Mark Wilde, managing director of BMO Capital Markets (USA); Ulrich Nehring, managing director of Nehring Consultants (Germany); Uday Patel, senior research manager for aluminium markets at Wood Mackenzie (UK), and Ariel Booker, co-founder of CanO Water (UK).

Taking place in Venice, Italy, from 10-11 October, the presentations at this year’s Summit will cover topical subjects including the challenge of marketing an appealing image for metal packaging, safety in can coatings, a review of the industry’s financial performance, an overview of metal markets, the latest food contact legislation and how the global market for beverage cans is developing in the various regions.

The Canmaker Summit will be preceded by a networking reception on 9 October and includes the annual Gala Dinner on the evening of 10 October, during which the Cans of the Year Awards will be presented.
